“We are big fans of your work and trust your eye” …. Ummmmmm EXCUSE ME while I melt into my office chair Those words are literally music to a photographer’s ears, and they’re exactly what Jessie said to me during her inquiry for engagement photos. We bonded over our love for espresso martinis and I just knew we were going to be the perfect fit for each other.
The high of your engagement is one of the best feelings in the world, it’s so important to take the time to document this special event! When Jessie told me she was looking for a winter engagement with some elements of the holiday season, I knew the Charlottesville Historic Mall would be absolutely perfect. The brick buildings mixed with the classic city vibes of this historic town set the scene for the most beautiful engagement session.
When Jessie and Sam showed up in their outfits I think I audibly GASPED with excitement. The classy black and white pairing they wore seriously blew me away. It was pretty chilly when we were shooting, so Jessie paired this gorgeous white coat with an even more adorable black top. It contrasted SO WELL with the buildings around the area.

Jessie’s one “absolutely MUST HAVE photo” was a through-the-window shot. After capturing their session across the downtown Charlottesville area, we ended our time at Tilman’s, the cutest little restaurant for cheese and wine. And not to toot my own horn or anything buuuuuttt I think I kinda nailed those photos, especially with a cute ass window like THAT.
